Handpicked Grenache and Tempranillo from neighbouring rows in the same Yallingup vineyard. Picked on the same day for a true Margaret River field blend. Aiming for a sem-carbonic style, the grapes were co-fermented with a layered mix of whole bunches of Grenache. Followed by whole berries of Tempranillo and the remaining fruit crushed on top. Fermented with wild yeast, zero oak, unfined and unfiltered.
Salty plum, cranberry and confectionery on the nose follows through on to the palate. Red fruits and berries come to the fore with silky tannins and crunchy acid combining for a quaffable, light bodied red wine. Like the 2022 version, there is an underlying “gooey, pink marshmallow” aspect which we love.
